Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute - Expansion

For more than 20 years, the Institute has been a leader in clinical research and in the creation of new treatments and devices. Today, we’re planning for an expansion that will allow us to inspire even more firsts in cardiovascular medicine. We will be able to broaden our research program and ensure that medical breakthroughs continue to be discovered in South Florida. We will create centers of specialized care and prevention that will focus on aneurysms, structural heart defects and congestive heart failure. In addition, through our expansion, our renowned physicians will train the next generation of world-class doctors who are drawn to the Institute because of its environment of discovery. And who will benefit from the innovations made possible through our growth? You. Your family and friends. The entire community.

Through the generosity of international superstar Celine Dion, Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute will kick off its expansion campaign with this private, one-time-only concert. All proceeds will directly benefit the Institute.

About Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute

Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute was established in1987 by Barry T. Katzen, M.D., a renowned interventional radiologist and the Institute’s medical director. His vision was to treat the cardiovascular system as a single entity by having physicians work together and by grouping heart and vascular services in one facility. This visionary method was something that few medical facilities were doing at the time.
By acknowledging the heart and vascular systems’ interdependence, Institute leaders developed an innovative approach to cardiovascular care.
